Nothing is worse then being an account guy and having the phone ring, only to hear, “ummm, so yeah, we need to do a retail sales push.”  More often then not you end up with clowns and balloons in front of a dealership and a man with pleated pants and loafers yelling, “Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, no money down, no interest and free popcorn!”  Kia and davidandgoliath really took a chance with the Kia event, hats off to them, well done.  View the ad here.

  1. I love the 80s throw backs like this. I know plenty of people that hate it, though.

    If they hate it or not, at least they’re talking about it. That’s the sign of a successful campaign.

  2. I’ve seen this ad a few times on tv now - though I never really paid attention. Now seeing it again it really is a hilarious throw back.

    It almost makes up for their “No Duh” sales events. Almost.
