In a move that is sure to upset some, The FIA has decided not to include this classic stage from the World Rally Championships. This is only the third time this has happened since the stage began in 1949.
That is not all. starting in following years, Monte Carlo will only be ran in alternating years, as will the rest of the stages. The move comes in an effort to ensure that all rally candidates will receive an fair chance to be put on the calender.
The ‘09 and ‘10 race schedules only show 12 races each compared to 16 this year, and 15 scheduled next year. The race calenders can be seen below.
