A quick look at our recent posts shows that everybody is jumping on the bandwagon when it comes to the glass roof design. So far this week we’ve seen Ford do it, we’ve seen Subaru do it, and now we get this new vision from Land Rover.

Check back after the jump to see more pictures of the new LRX concept, set to debut at the Detroit Auto Show.

  1. They are all so original.

If I owned a car company I would make a full glass car, make it very expensive and target beautiful women.

  2. LOL. I interned for a company called Arvin Meritor in 2002 and worked on a modular roof system concept. I had a bunch of designs of fancy ways to use windows on the roof. I had one that looked exactly the same. Arvin Meritor does systems for GM and Chrysler, I think Ford too. Wonder if this is a coincidence :)

  3. Well, it’s been a long known fact that car companies are lemmings. Look at how the entire German luxury car industry followed BMW’s example of bad button replacement. First iDrive was universally lambasted in the media, then Audi came out with MMI, and the S class has a similar, all encompassing knob system.

They’re like children at a toy shop. As soon as they see another kid take a toy off the shelf, they want to have it too.

  4. Lord save us all from a hope tree that has lost the faculty of putting out blossoms.
