Hartage builds X3 Hunter : culture|garage

Ummm, yeah. When I am looking for a capable off roader (which I never am), I don’t usually place the BMW X3 at the top of the list. Luckily Hartage is here with the X3 Hunter. It now has 23cm of clearance! Which is about the same as a Subaru Outback wagon. They also bumped the power up to 253 hp (European version of the 3.0 diesel). They seem to be off a bit with the fit and finish department, the front skid plate is all off kilter and doesn’t line up and the mesh looks like Home Depot gutter guard special.

Hartage really needs to redesign their wheel style, those are ugly, and I’ve seen them in person in silver on a 335i, they look like wheels from Pep Boys. FTL

Outback ground clearance = not impressive.

more power, fancy rims, and a skid plate don’t make an offroader.

how about a real 2-speed transfer case, a locker or 2, and a solid axle……or 2
