Saleen plans to support our service men and women by building 24 limited edition 2008 Patriot American Flag Saleen Mustangs.  There will be eight of each color, red, white and blue.  They are based on the S281 supercharged Mustang.  I wold love a drab green one with a matte black star on the door, but I guess this is a way to fly your flag.

Chevy just released imagery of the Chevy Volt, a new car coming from their E-Flex design studio. The platform will supposedly be able to run on electricity, gas, e85 or biodiesel. They are hoping that with the technology this car will be capable of 40 mile trips (Seventy-eight percent of commuters drive 40 miles or less to and from work) without using a sip of gas.

Rally Legend Per Eklund took the switch to the rest of the competition at the London Masters Rally Cross this past weekend. The modified Saab 9-3 supposedly has 550bhp and powers all four wheels.

The limited edition Boxster RS60 pays homage to its father, the victor of the 1960 12 Hours of Sebring, the 718RS. They share a lot in common, red interiors and silver paint. Quite honestly, it’s a beautiful car and Porsche seems to be all about special edition Boxsters, earlier this year they released the special edition GT3 Orange Boxster. Nothing is worse then being an account guy and having the phone ring, only to hear, “ummm, so yeah, we need to do a retail sales push.”  More often then not you end up with clowns and balloons in front of a dealership and a man with pleated pants and loafers yelling, “Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, no money down, no interest and free popcorn!”  Kia and davidandgoliath really took a chance with the Kia event, hats off to them, well done.  View the ad here.

Rumors have been out for awhile that Audi was going to be giving the Allroad treatment to the little brother in the family.  These are the first shots of what is assumed to be the 2009 Audi A4 Allroad.  From the pictures we can tell that, ummm, well, it sits higher and has matte black fender arches. While I am a huge fan of cars on stilts, the Allroad treatment just looks more at home on the wagon platform.  Which is good, because further rumors indicate that the engineers were just testing the platform prior to the wagon’s official unveiling.

The eagerly awaited Grand Theft Auto 4 now has demos up on xBox Live. This marks the third trailer for the game that has yet to be released. Earlier this year it was reported to come out around October (runs to check calendar), yup they are behind, look for it to be on shelfs in Feb-April of 08. View trailer here. The graphics look pretty intense.

GM decided to black out the Hummer H3, add some pounds to the price and sell it in Europe as the H3 Black Edition. Only 50 are said to be made, they feature all black leather interior, black powdercoated wheels, matte black grille, black step bars, etc.
