3 CommentsOn a quick visit to TheTruthAboutCars.com, Brock Yates’ article hit me like a ton of bricks. An angry, cantankerous pile of bricks. Mr. Yates is known in almost every major automotve circle on earth, and yet he found something, or rather, MANY things to get angry excited about. Not only was Car and Driver a “pale shadow of its former self,” but Yates made sure to endear his new audience with a style of writing that can only be feuled by a Barry-Bondsesque kind of ‘roid rage. I’ll be the first to admit that I love being lambasted by a grumpy old man, but Yates took things further. Read the rest of this entry »

Fast and Furious 4 is filming early this year, and I heard on Extra (in between reports of Britney flipping the f out) that Vin Diesel is supposed to be in it. (Yay?)
Of course, they are gonna need some fine whips for this epic!
Check out what kind of cars they are looking for after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

If you are like me and could care less about men wrestling around in tights and chasing a leather ball… then you probably just watch the Superbowl as an excuse to hang out with friends on Sunday and watch expensive commercials.
Most will agree, the last few year’s ads have been pretty piss poor. Maybe we can expect something spectacular this year. Adrants, has a list of all the advertisers in a handy table so you can see who is doing what.
There are nine or so spots for auto manufacturers, be sure to keep an eye out for the Audi R8 commercial, it will run once during the game and once after the game. And then never again.
Other than that, it’s your usual supsects, beer and soda/pop.

The stickers are in and a personal mailbox is set up. So here is how it works. Send me an email. In it you will request either a)white or b)silver; I will email back and confirm availability. At this time, only one sticker is allowed. Sorry.
Upon confirmation, send a SELF ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE, (please use a standard size envelope, 9.5″ long), please also identify which color you want.

The stickers are die-cut, not printed, they are 8″ long and just over half an inch tall.
The first, limited-run, stickers are free, but once they are gone, they will cost $2.50 each, which still won’t cover my cost (including p.o. box rental).

What’s the deal with NBC?!
You may remember that NBC is in the works to bring the hugely popular British car-themed talk show Top Gear to America. Rumors were wild about who would host, since the trio on the UK version could make watching paint dry an award-winning ratings juggernaut. Read the rest of this entry »

A wiseman once told me that any ‘fella’ can own a house, but it takes a man to keep its lawn in order. Something to do with the buoyancy of a finely manicured blade of grass or the smell of chlorophyll early in the morning. Whatever it is, that wiseman had me coughing out $400 for a Mastercraft Mower. It even comes in a fiery Ferrari red body. 190cc Briggs & Stratton single platinum plug chugging a mind blowing 6.25 hp! Oh baby! It not only bags, discharge but also mulch too! Variable speed rear wheel drive. Take that Nissan CVT! I can go on and on, but this isn’t Home & Garden… Read the rest of this entry »

Quick teaser picture. I now have in my possession a limited run of die-cut culture|garage vinyl stickers. I have them in white and silver. The good news, I am paying for them out of pocket. The bad news, I haven’t set up a P.O. box yet. So I won’t start shipping until next week. But hurry and get your envelope and stamp ready. All you need to do is send a self addressed stamped envelope and an email to me. But wait, for me to post the P.O. box before you bombard me with emails. The next run of stickers will cost $2.50 each.
