Rally America has announced the list of competitors in the upcoming Sno*Drift Pro Rally, that will take place Jan 25 and 26th. Most notable among them, will be the addition of BMX biking legend Dave Mirra. Mirra will team up with Block and Pastrana as a third car under the Vermont Sports Car team.
Additionally, Amy BeberVanzo with new co-driver Aubrey Volger will form the only all-female team in national rally competition. Also returning is the 19 year old rookie sensation, Kyle Sarasin, who this year will be fielding an Open Class car.

That’s cool that Dave Mirra is driving now. Except I saw on Cribs that he had a Saleen Mustang. I hope he trades that in for a real performance car soon, not just a Mustang with a body kit.

Dave Mirra also had a G55 AMG before they came out. As a BMX’er, this is sweet to see a super old school rider getting out into the world of sports. Mirra is a super cool guy too, and comes from the same end of sports as Pastrana, so some natural talent is certainly going to be there.
Kyle Sarasin is quite te driver also. He handled his focus very nicely at Rally Colorado this fall. I look forward to seeing his progression this season in an open class car (any word on what kind of car?)

@b dash, I overheard grumblings at the LSPR that he may be moving from FWD to AWD, if he sticks with CPD Racing then it will likely be that he moves into a Subaru.

thats makes sense, particularly as well as he did, and stepping to open, with only a few exceptions, generally means awd (not always, there are still some neons in open, and both of them had terrible engine management problems at rally Colorado…)
