This is a really cool find, Neatorama has chronicled the evolution of automotive logos. In most cases it also lists the derivation of the design, etc. My favorites are the pre - WWI VW and the 1930’s Saab.

the neatorama link doesn’t work, but the early VW logos are pretty neat. The only mistake i see on the saab one is that the “Saab technologies,” IIRC, is not a spin off of scania. They are actually the company that makes Shoulder launched rockets for the military. Next time i’m home, i’ll scan in the information packet i have about the saab rockets from Saab Technologies.
