World-renowned car builder, and star of TLC’s American Hot Rod died just after 6 am this morning. As of yet, the cause is still unknown. Coddington was the owner of the Boyd Coddington Hot Rod Shop and founder of Boyd’s Wheels. When contacted, a member of Coddington’s corporation confirmed his death and said that the company will be releasing a statement later today.

Bummer. That being said, I had a lot more respect for him when I just read of him… after I saw his show, I kind of that he was a prick.

Like him or not, the man has made an impact on the sport, as well as the art. My thoughts go out to his family, and his friends. God speed.

What a LEGEND, i just started watching the show about 6 months ago. It was a shame to find out about roy passing away, WHAT A MASTER. The best thing about the show was blue bear getting fired i laughed for days.
