Britain’s Fifth Gear recently got their paws on a new GT-R to test. Their thoughts? “We like it. We like it a lot.” The only main grievance the GT-R is getting, seems to be that it is almost too good and smooth. Where cars like the GT3 are much more raw, the GT-R is more composed and automatic.
Lest you fear, Nissan understands the importance of sites like culture|garage and states like Minnesota, so they have already contacted me to set up time for me to review the GT-R. ![]()

It’s a marvel of engineering, but I still think it’s ugly as sin.

Leave it to the Europeans to make a beautiful car, but I still want the GT-R.

Jim, you’re not alone.
I’m not impressed by this car. Anyone can use computers and expensive materials to make a fast car. To me, this car is about the same as the Bentley Continental GT. Massively fast, but I don’t love it.
