BioPower seems to be all the rage, an ever growing selection of vehicles that are tuned to run on ethanol and standard gas are hitting the streets. But that was just too easy for Lotus. Autoblog covers off on the Lotus Exige 270E, a tri-fuel concept. Not only does it run on gas or ethanol, but it also has the ability to run on METHANOL. On meth it turns 270hp and 184 lb-ft. Lotus isn’t done yet… they are also looking hybrids and electric vehicles. Couple more picture post-jump.

I am all for this. Although, Henrik Fisker even dogged Ferrari for having built an environmentally safe car for its user base. Do you really think that Lotus has enough clients to make a difference in the environment?
Good job at any rate!

Problem with ethanol it that is it made from our food products. Now corn and other food product are being used to create fuel.
Increased prices and making our gas tanks compete with our stomachs
