Geneva, Switz.- The venerable Ford Focus, the Falcon of the modern-day world, has had its top whacked by the folks at Pininfarina. Yep, the Italian design studio has turned an already attractive car into an even more appealing piece. And no, you can’t have one if you live in North America.

Aside from the folding metal roof, reminiscent of much more expensive coupe/cabriolets, the face lifted Euro-spec Focus sports increased trunk capacity (presumably to contain that roof) mildly revised lines, and of course, that achingly-cool Pininfarina badge. Due to the folding roof, dimensions are a bit different than the normal Focus, with a longer rear end accommodating the top. Motivation will come from either a 1.6 or 2.0 liter gasoline engine or a 2.0 liter diesel. In case having a Pininfarina-styled car isn’t enough for you, the cars will be assembled in-house by the design firm near Turin, Italy. The car is based off of the “C1″ chassis, sharing the platform with the Volvo S40 and V40, Mazda 3 and the regular Euro Focus. The Focus coupe/ cabrio is geared up to do battle with the Renault Megane coupe/cabrio and the Opel Astra convertible.

  1. Looks like a Volvo.

  2. That’s not a bad looking Ford!

  3. the trunk lid looks 8 miles long….

  4. yeah, it’s like a hot chick with a flat ass.

  5. Dear god, that’s ugly. Are you guys smoking crack?

  6. the trunk lid could be reworked a bit, but otherwise, i like it

  7. it’s not for me, but it’s a million times better looking that the US focus. i could see that being really popular here. and yet again i add another gripe about ford producing awesome models overseas and leaving us with the lesser versions. and they wonder why they’re not profitable here.

  8. i also can’t remember the last time ford made an affordable vert for the masses (other than the mustang). the 1990s capri?
