Although information is skimpy at this point, it has been announced that Pixar studios is currently working on a sequel to the hit Cars movie. According to Disney, the movie will be set in locations around the world, so it’s probably safe to assume that there will be something for everyone in this iteration. The official line is that the new film will hit theaters in 2012 (I know, I know, that’s a long time away) and that it will be a 3-D production. Brad Lewis, the Oscar winning director of Ratatouille and Antz will be directing the film. I can’t speak for the rest of the C|G contingent, seeing as how Kenny G may or may not make an appearance, but I look forward to seeing this ‘un.

I liked the first Cars. Simple movie with a nice story that looks great on HD. Some of the best parts though were actually in the credits. Looking forward to 2.
