Our fellow site member, b-dash, is big into the outdoor sports. Lucky for us, he is also into cars. This was spotted on Mountainbuzz.com, an outdoor activity forum. Apparently, some buddies were hoping to go kayaking. They parked the car across the street, left it running with the e-brake engaged, to go check out if the spot was good enough to deploy the kayaks. Unfortunately, the car was rather interested, it crossed two lanes and then plunged into the Payette River.

From there it took a spin down the rapids. Remarkably, the car was still running when the tow truck pulled it from the river. Check out the thumbs below or view a video from the local news station here.

Okay. I’ll try to not hit submit this time. The photo looks photoshopped. But then there’s the video. Well, at least they had the wipers on.

Darryn, others thought it was photoshopped too…but it’s not. Probably due to the long exposure time, etc. It’s assuredly real.

Absolutely nothing about these photos look shopped. I can’t understand why people keep saying that.

Dosent look shopped to me. I used to guide and photograph white whater rafters… all you had to do was adjust a few settings and you can have the same affect.

they were going to continue driving up to the put-in, but the owner didn’t want to risk it, continuing to drive the car…

yo raza how did you photoshop them when i took the pics..
I shoot .RAW not .JPEG. i have the originals. There is a video to back it..

You’re a dumb ass. Lets see you try to photoshop something like that.

Peace to those who like the pics. Yes the pic is a long exposure shot with a tripod. apeture 22, time vale 1/5 second.

Thank you to the people who know that the pics are not photoshopped.

I think if you just showed the first picture, it would be a little hard to swallow. Lots of people aren’t used to long exposure & water so it looks funny to them.

The fact that the other pics are there back up the story and don’t leave any doubt IMO.

@ Mike, Raza was kidding. As other’s said, people just aren’t used to long exposure and water. And Charley is just being an ass.
