Squint a bit, and let your imagination take over. The scoop, the C pillar, the profile. Izzat a Subaru? No, It couldn’t be, it sits too high…wait…nope, it’s not a Subaru-it’s a Ford-and it’s one worth calling design-foul looking over. Read the rest of this entry »

Briscoe nails Danica Patrick

May 25, 2008

As Briscoe was leaving his pit box, at the 92nd Indy 500, he veered a bit to far out and slammed Danica.  She spun out and beat up her suspension, forcing her to retire from the race.  She quickly threw off her gloves and stormed towards the Penske driver’s pits.  Unfortunately, a big ass security dude stopped her.  I would have my money on her.  Briscoe looks like a Nancy.  Stay tuned, I am sure YouTube videos will be up soon.  Oh yea, and Dixon won…if anyone cared.

Driving though Denver, or Philadelphia, or Boston or any number of busy cities in the world can be a hassle. A problem. A downright pain in the ass. Whatever the issue is-cell phones, ignorance or just plain bad driving- nothing compares to the commute in downtown Baghdad-which is depicted with great clarity in this weekend’s video. The liberal use of the chrome horn is a nice touch, I’d LOVE to use that technique sometime!

Have a GREAT Memorial Day weekend, and take a moment to remember the fallen!

The 92nd Annual Indianapolis 500 will be ran this weekend.  While I rarely ever watch cars drive fast in circles, it does remind me of some of my fondest memories.  I spent a good portion of my childhood growing up in Indianapolis and would regularly go to carb and practice days.  I remember sitting on a blanket in the infield and walking through the pits with my mom, dad and little brother.  Good times.

Anyways, the first six starting spots feature, Dixon, Wheldon, Briscoe (Porsche ALMS driver), Castoneves, Patrick and Tony Kanaan.  Check out the full grid.

Cuda-Challenger Forum= E-Body Heaven

Let’s say that somewhere between the Vanishing Point and the rear end housing on Nash Bridges ‘Cuda, there exists a place where the E-body reigns supreme. It smells of gasoline and tranny fluid, and it has the air of a bench racing session to it. There’s banter and good-natured ribbing, as well as great tech stuff, just like the speed shops of yore. This place exists, and it is fueled by a kind of automotive enthusiasm only Mopar guys can summon- it’s the forums at cuda-challenger.com, the Parthenon of the ‘Cuda, the Taj Mahal of the Challenger. Milford Proving Grounds- Despite the name, the Milford proving grounds are not full of Traversii mini suv’s or minivans, but rather the vehicles tested and evaluated there are a veritable cross-section of GM’s lineup- including those as-not-yet released or even announced to the general public. Included in the latter part of the vehicles tested at the facility is the upcoming Camaro, and if the impressions left by those who got to drive the latest iteration of Chevy’s pony car are any indication, it should be a fire-breather.
