culture|garage is a social site for those whose common bond is a passion for all things combustion. It meets at the cross streets of automobiles and culture. While the site’s blog and forums are skewed towards things with four wheels, don’t be surprised to find yourself reading about outdoor lifestyle, Apple’s newest gadget, a new album and more.
This site is built and nurtured by enthusiasts. Its success hinges largely on the contributions of the auto-loving public.
culture|garage, was a latent idea of Chris’ that came into fruition as a thesis project for his masters. With the help of friends, it evolved into what you see now.
Chris Campbell|minneapolis, mn - gas and oil courses through his veins. In real life, he is an advertising guy on a national automotive account. Email Chris
Jeff|denver, co - was always an outsider looking in to the car scene, until recent years. He has spent the last few years exploring what makes cars fascinating, both on and off the road. Away from the cars, he makes a living editing video for a growing Denver-based production house Email Jeff
Ryan|san francisco, ca - has owned more cars than pairs of pants. Beginning his life as bicycle mechanic, he turned his technical interests to design and photography. He believes learning, teaching, and tinkering with cars is almost as fun as driving them. When not behind the wheel, he is behind a keyboard as the designer for an Internet Software company. As we are ever evolving we are also adding more “staff,” it started with Chris doing the majority of the writing, Ryan doing all of the back end programming and Jeff maintaining and running the forum portion of the site. But as we grew, the readership demanded more content, enter our new contributors:
Bart|chicago, il - a full time college student and avid auto enthusiast. He loves JDM, EDM and a few in-between. He is the forum scavenger, active on auto forums all over the place. His true talent is in his ability to correctly identify nearly any aftermarket wheel ever made.
Jim|denver, co - “Traditional” best describes Jim, who covers domestics. Not one to beat around the bush, Jim lives for anything with an American badge, especially if it has a tire-shredding, loud and impractical V8. Jim is currently a student at the University of Colorado-Denver and has also worked as a preservationist at the Forney Museum of Transportation in Denver.
Pat|chicago, il - is a journalist whose dream is to eventually write for a car related publication. He is enjoying his first performance car and loves anything that goes fast, including powerboats, dirt bikes, and go karts.
