Knight Rider: It Doesn’t Suck!
Although the new NBC series (on the tube at the moment) Knight Rider is an obvious PR ploy, it is quite good, considering how low my personal (and no doubt our collective) bars were set for this show. The car is better than expected, the show's agenda, though conservative, doesn't beat around the bush, especially when it comes to the war, gasoline, and even faith. Yes, faith. Expect more coverage in the A.M., along with NHRA and (God forbid!) NASCAR roundup.

I just watched a 2 hour ad for something called “My father is better than your fifth-grader” or something. I can’t be too sure, because there were a lot of really fast cars and stuff going by. But I really couldn’t pay attention to that, because there was this thing about “My father is better than your Knight Rider” or something the WHOLE TIME I was watching. It was really confusing and ANNOYING. I wanted to pay attention to the story about the cars, but there was this thing about my father or your father and I couldn’t pay attention the way I wanted. It made me angry. NBC knows better, they’re geniuses, I’m stupid. I can’t follow two-hour ads that are supposed to be stories. How about giving us just stories without these desperate ads that only make people not pay attention to the stories you’ve paid so much money for? We want to watch the stories now, not what you think we should know about what’s coming next.
