Michael Bay; looking to blow more sh!t up
Ok, first, I have not seen Transformers. Nor do I have any desire to do so. That being said, I have heard from numerous people that it was actually a pretty good flick. So, I may consider checking it out.
Second, pretty much every Michael Bay film has sucked. The Island would have had promise if anyone besides him had directed it.
Well, guess what Michael Bay has announced General Motor's long form commercial Transformer's 2. On his site, which I frequent often, is a countdown timer for the release of Transformer's 2. As of this writing, it's some odd 471 days away.
Did the movie deserve a sequel? Curious to hear your thoughts.

i think i’m the only person on earth who thought the rock sucked, altho the car chase in san fran was pretty cool. i loved the inexplicably bloody exploding cockroaches. i liked transformers growing up, but didn’t care much for the movie. the scenes with just shia lebeouf and megan fox and bumblebee were awesome (esp with the police car). but the other transformers were lame and i didn’t like the new camaro. and the guy at the beginning (blackout) was like a million times more powerful than everyone else. he took out the army. he should have just kicked everyone’s ass and ended the movie there. and starscream is the best character and he totally sucked in the movie. ok i’m ranting. i’m finished. maybe a sequel if michael bay can make it better than the first.

Transformers was lame. The whole scene with the Transformers outside his window, being quiet so his dad wouldn’t hear them, was idiotic.
I would have been like, “Shut the f up dad, I’m saving the world, yell at me later after I save yours and everyone else’s ass. B*tch.”

I think it’s ridiculous everyone hates Michael Bay just because South Park says so. Seriously, have you guys even seen Bad Boys? I call BS on so many people claiming to “hate” Michael Bay and they aren’t even big movie fans in general. I don’t think he’s great, but I certainly like most of what he does.
Transformers was a fun movie, probably a bit too funny for the subject. It’s very optimistic where everyone wins in the end (not like the actual cartoon). I do not want a sequel though.
