Now this is what I call “Alternative Energy”

So let's say you like the power of an F-body, but dislike the styling and cut-rate interior. You also dig the cornering prowess of the Mitsubishi Evo- but the high-strung inline really isn't your style. In this situation, what's a guy (or gal) supposed to do? Why, shoehorn an LS1 into said Evo, of course!

Now, I don't really have any specifics on the video, like where it was shot, what the whole point of this amalgam is, what sort of power is being put out, but that bowtie mill sure sounds nasty, and I can only wonder what that thing will be like once the ProCharger is belted up. What I can tell you is that this "Evo" is running the stock pumpkin-which will no doubt be turned into puree should the mill get into the higher RPM ranges. Oh, and say bye-bye to the weight balance, unless you wanna break out the kitty litter.

Have a great weekend, everybody!

seeing that video disturbs me about as much as the LS1 Civic.. it’s just so wrong to hear any noise other than a high strung turbo 4-cyl coming from an Evo.

I’m not a huge fan of engine swaps myself.  I think it corrupts the purity of the design, and takes away from the designer’s vision.  It’s like buying the Mona Lisa and then making her a blond.
But this is pretty cool.  It’s weird to hear that noise coming from an Evo.
I want one.

Based on the uploader’s profile, it’s from Saudi Arabia.

What blasphemy. But as the guy says at the end, “good job dude.” Craziness

since when has any chevy aside from a corvette even had any consideration of weight balence anyway?

so I say the shoe fits, not like the evo had a fantastic weight balence to begin with.

You got something to say ?
