Why do luxury cars look so good in matte?
People spend literally thousands of dollars on pearl coat and other various shiny paint options. So why is it everytime I see something sprayed in a blah'esque matte black, I begin to drool? This Gemballa Mirage GT done up in matte black is incredible. And I guess the plus side of matte paint is that it doesn't require as much keep up. Or how do you even take care of matte paint. Everytime I see a car in matte I wonder when they’re going to shoot the color. I guess I’ve seen too many cars prep’d for painting..

I love the look too, but as with all trends, it’s now getting close to the point of saturation. It won’t stop me from keeping mine matte though.

black matte: it screams “Form follows function” to me.
Simply translated: “who give’s a rat’s ass about the paint when you have a machina like this”.
