Ze Germans are Coming! More Denver Auto Show Photos

So in case you didn't get your fill of Denver Auto show last week, I'll be posting my "b" roll this week, divided into loosely defined categories. Today the makes of the Germanic persuasion get their day in the sun. Oh, and I'm obviously nothow you saya professional photographer, so don't set your hopes up too high. The above shots were of the VW R32- I thought the engine-turned pieces in the door panels and dash were really handsome- otherwise one would be stuck looking at yards of varying shades of plastic.

Here's the old Rabbit mentioned in my original post- not exactly awe-inspiring, but different strokes for different folks, eh?

This Passat's interior was exceptional for VW, the wood made me think back to the Jaguar XJ-which used very similar woodgrain panels.

This Audi cockpit was really well-designed, it felt like sitting in a fighter plane in there.

I have always envied the looks of Audi's engine bays, and this is no exception. Notice no plastic shrouds, no crummy baubles, just perfectly aligned coil packs, trim, sleek looking valve covers and a cleanly-cast intake manifold.
