GM has stayed in contact with me since the first few months of starting this site. Along the last couple years they’ve invited us to many different events. And sometimes they like to fill our inboxes up. They couldn’t contain their excitement with the most recent news. That news being that for the first time in 21 months, they posted sales gains. I’ll reiterate, for the first time in 21 months, they’ve posted sales gains. That’s certainly worth writing about.…

Buick. You are killing me. And re-killing Harley Earl. This is going to take a lot for me to say… but you actually make some good looking cars. I even recommended the Enclave to my mom, who promptly declaims, “A Buick?! I’m not in a retirement home.” Then you have the Lacrosse, which is certainly one of the best looking sedans on the market. And I truly mean that, the way the exhaust is so neatly designed…

Remember that line in Star Wars when Han Solo says to the Millennium Falcon, “Hear me baby, hold together”? I do. And it’s a curious concept – Han Solo talking to his ship like that. It’s not like the ship will actually listen. Even in George Lucas’ extensive imagination.

Bolt-in roll cage fail.

This is the Hallett/CarFX project car, about .1 a second away from having the roof smash down on their heads and having the bolt-in roll cage puncture the body. Look closely at the picture below that shows the car resting on the roof, you can see where the roll cage has penetrated the body. Crazy. And this is why your reinforce the floor when installing a roll cage. Somehow both the driver and the passenger made it out of this accident entirely unscathed. Minus the doo doo butter in their pants. Everything…
