Two seven year olds, one of which was smoking cigarettes, decided to go Grand Theft Auto in grandma’s blinged out Durango. During that time of doing “fun hood stuff” they hit two parked cars, two moving cars, two mailboxes, a curb, a sign, etc. The good news is two fold, 1. no one was hurt and 2. a nasty portholed and dubbed out Durango is no longer on the road.

If I were the parents, a serious ass-whopping would be in this kids future, apparently Latarian believes he should be suspended from video games for “a whole weekend.”

Sorry updates have been so few and far between this week, folks-I have been very remiss in my duties to all of you-my sincerest apologies. Above is my peace offering, spotted at the Goodguys show in Loveland, Colorado, last summer. Anyone notice what’s not quite right with this otherwise bitchin’ ‘70 ‘Cuda? Now, Mopar fit and finish wasn’t all that great during the period this car was produced, but come on! After spending what I’m sure was big bucks on restoring an E-body, is putting the spoiler on backwards and making exhaust tips out of old sheet stock really something to overlook? Whatever the story is behind this, I sure got a good chuckle out of it.

Some time back, we brought to everyone’s attention how a pitbull on steroids can destroy a Honda. Today, it’s time to explore the destructive abilities of a dog left inside. Ok, seriously, I don’t know what is wrong with me. Lately, I have really been drawn to the red triangle…Pontiac. Really? The G8 is hot. The Solstice Coupe is gorgeous in a manly way. And their commercials have kicked ass…how did a brand go from “driving excitement” to this?

I wrote about Spy Hunter a few weeks ago…well this weekend I was watching the Final Four (which is a story in itself, because I hate watching sports) and another excellent one came on.

This one is the G8 vs the BMW 5 series. It’s actually pretty damn funny. They take blatant stabs at BMW and BMW owners. But let’s be realistic, most people that would be shopping these will go BMW for the status that the Bavarian brings. It’s hard to begin rationalizing autos over the $40k price point.

Watch the video a few times, there is quite a bit of humorous fodder in these.

Kenosha, Wi.- Scion, a recent entry in the “compact-and-young” category, has announced their newest project, the XCS. Using the same platform as the TC, the XCS will boast a 2.4 litre turbocharged engine. The turbo takes power from 161 to 310. “We are hoping that the XCS will be ample competition in the marketplace, as well as distinguish us from the XB, TC and XD,” said a company spokesperson. “Having the XCS will help make our brand identity clear.” Video after the jump. If you are old, you should not be hanging out at a dyno to begin with. Let alone stumbling around on the rollers right after a run. He bites hard. Try not to laugh too hard, he probably broke a hip. Or lost his dentures.

So the owner of a Skyline works a specialized dealership. In walks a guy who appears to be pretty serious about purchasing it. He comes in a second day and the owner allows a solo test drive. A ten minute test drive then turns into grand theft auto.

The (former) owner then posts on a local Canadian automotive forum, with pictures of the car and a description of the thief. Soon, half of the damn forum is on a bounty hunt mission to catch this guy.
