4 CommentsNot quite sure why it illicits such a strong distaste among enthusiasts. Personally, I think the FX is one of the best looking SUV/CUVs on the market. And the sound they make, even in v6 form is beautiful. What you are looking at here, is one of the first spy shots of the FX55. One would expect that it is powered by a 5.5l v8. It looks to feature a revised front fascia and some GTR’esque headlights. Nissan will be having the initial unveiling at the Geneva Auto Show later this year.

Looks like the new MKVI Golf/Rabbit has been caught doing some road testing. Looks to be very similar to the current generation model, likely just minute changes to the fascia treatments. The new models will likely be launched at European dealerships late in 2008, with US launch following sometime in 2009.

Thanks to the Spanish auto site Motorpasión which has posted the first press release photos of the Audi TT-S coupe and roadster. This will be a hardcore version of the regular TT, similar to the S-branded Audi lineup.
The TT-S is rumored to get Audi’s 2.0 TFSI four cylinder producing 272 hp. Among the changes is revised bodywork, LED daytime lights (similar to the ones found on the S6 and R8) and your choice of 17- or 18- inch wheels.

Finally available to the public are these spy shots of the MINI SUV which were taken in Europe recently where the prototype was spotted. The bodywork appears almost identical to the standard Clubman, but there are a couple of visual cues that give it away that this MINI will venture the road less taken.
The biggest visual change is the increased ride height. It will give the MINI some extra ground clearance. The MINI appears to be larger and more muscular, which can be contributed to the bigger wheels and wider wheel arches. Also its wheelbase is a little longer.
And if you look closely at the picture of the rear you are able to see the rear differential between the wheels, it becomes clear that this MINI is all wheel drive. It’s definitely not ‘trail-rated’ like your Jeep Wrangler, but it’s aimed to steal sales of the Land Rover Freelander.
Expect to see it be revealed later this year but its name still remains a mystery. A couple of likely candidates are Crossman and Monte, pricing starts around £20,000.

The Mazda RX-8 is either a love it or hate it type of car, and not everyone is a fan of its rotary history. Leaked from a JDM car magazine, these new photos show the subtle and handsome visual improvements on the car. Changes include a brand new bumper, larger updated grille, and side ports located under the revised headlights which resemble those on the Mazda 6. The back of the car remains the same with the exception of LED taillights which have not changed from the previous model.
The car pictured above is the Mazda RX-8 RS version, which is a new model and includes Bilstein shocks, 19″ wheels, and amazing Recaro seats which 85% of the American population will have trouble fitting in and therefore never see (just take a look at the water-downed seats on the US bound 2008 Subaru WRX STi). The facelifted RX-8 will make its debut at the 2008 NAIAS in Detroit.

Someone caught some pictures of the 2009 Forester at a dealership in Japan. Oops, official images were not supposed to be released until sometime next week. While I am not a huge Forester fan, it certainly looks like this could get the job done if you are looking for a quasi-cross-utility-vehicle. It appears that the dimensions have grown a bit, making this a bit more Highlander-esque. We will most certainly be looking forward to seeing an STI/XT version.

It looks incredible. It’s quite the brutish look for a Cadillac. As it should, this M5 killer packs a 7.0 liter V-8 from the Corvette Z06. Expect around 520hp. 0-60 in less than five seconds. Top speed is rumored to be around 175mph. This will be a welcome edition to the CTS line up, which was all new this year.

Rumors have been out for awhile that Audi was going to be giving the Allroad treatment to the little brother in the family. These are the first shots of what is assumed to be the 2009 Audi A4 Allroad. From the pictures we can tell that, ummm, well, it sits higher and has matte black fender arches. While I am a huge fan of cars on stilts, the Allroad treatment just looks more at home on the wagon platform. Which is good, because further rumors indicate that the engineers were just testing the platform prior to the wagon’s official unveiling.
