Front straight at Nelson Ledges

Here is the front straight. Leading into the upcoming turn we are carrying 110+ mph. It’s going to be hairy with over 130 cars running.

We got to the track early yesterday afternoon. Plenty of light to set up a killer pit area. Now we have another tent and a conversion van. Unfortunately, we also have torrential down pours and 45 degree weather.
Last night proved entertaining. We hooked the pit bike trailer up and went for a drive. All the while entertaining everyone in the pits.
Well until Andrew wrecked.
We met up with the Fiero team (their car set on fire last year) and
the track manager who took us out on the track (while drinking a beer and smoking a cig but somehow managing to hit every apex).

Our Home, Let Me Show You It.

This wonderful 32 foot RV is what will hold our team of five over the next five days. It has multiple slideouts, well two, a good sized kitchen. We are using to pull the race car, two pit bikes, a whole slew of tools and various other requirements. This bad boy nets a whopping 7mpg. The good news is that gas is a buck cheaper. Cougarbait is alive and well

Well, we got the 24 Hours of Lemons car up and running today. We are just need to wrap a few remaining things up, installing the seat brace (Vlad the Impaler), put on the remaining sponsorship decals. Thanks to the Alignment Guy for giving the car a much needed adjustment. And we dropped some 600+ lbs off of the car. Final weight was 2,666lbs with a 70/30 weight balance (fail). The car plows pretty hard, as evident in this video. But it sounds mean and we will be sure to get a larger rear sway in.
