Lorinser just showed off their take on the 2008 Mercedes-Benz Estate (that’s pretentious for, station wagon). The car rolls on the signature Lorinser wheels, but they also sculpted the body a bit more with a full body aero kit consisting of front and rear aprons, side skirts with five gill-like air inlets, a honeycomb sport grill, wide fenders with large air inlets on the side. Unfortunately, they didn’t really do much to increase the power.

Cadillac CTS-V captured

It looks incredible. It’s quite the brutish look for a Cadillac. As it should, this M5 killer packs a 7.0 liter V-8 from the Corvette Z06. Expect around 520hp. 0-60 in less than five seconds. Top speed is rumored to be around 175mph. This will be a welcome edition to the CTS line up, which was all new this year.

christmas-1-series.jpg

Well it’s the Christmas holiday season and the cheesy car ads are going to start to come out. While extensions off of outdoor advertising can seem pretty cool…if your main creative idea is, “hey, dude, we should, like, put a big bow or wrapping paper on a car,” “no way, let’s put Santa, and make the car like a reindeer. Because no one has ever done that before.” Except well, maybe one of your main competitors, Porsche Cayman S, over a year ago.

Oh and for the record, the 1 series sedan is hideous. Why couldn’t we have got the hatch?

It’s a typical Pennsylvania winter’s day. The sky is as gray as a middle managers’ conference, rain pours down because it’s just not quite cold enough for there to be snow. It’s the kind of day that your landlord decides to show your apartment while you’re in the shower.

It’s also the type of day that makes you want to tempt fate. You can smell it in the air when you step out for something fresh. You can taste it in your morning coffee. Today is the day you spit in death’s face.

Every so often we will steal a build from the forum and feature it on the home page.  I am proud to say the first one is ms9000’s Saab 9000.  She recently spent a lot of time, money and effort building this car up.  She changed it from a 5dr 9000 Aero into a 3dr 9000 OMG.  The car is simply amazing. While I have no support, I figure it is safe to say it is one of the highest powered stock internal Saabs in the United States.  She comes from an avid family of Saab enthusiasts so this is just one of the unique Saabs they own.  I refused to make some crappy play on “Born From Jets” or use a airplane reference, but you can imagine that this thing really flies.  Damn it.  Follow the link to see more pictures and all of the specifics on her car.

And it will likely put on a better performance then Daniel Craig. You may remember the DBS from the last Bond film, Casino Royale. Aston Martin said their flagship DBS will be the lead car in the upcoming Bond film due out in November 2008. Here’s hoping Daniel falls during filming and Clive Owen has to step in and finish up the film as the secret agent.

When Puma Speed Cats don’t really go with your skirt, grab a pair of Sheila’s Driving Heels. Now while I have never driven in stilletos, I can imagine that it could be quite difficult to heel-toe in. Good thing that these pumps have a flip up heel that allow for ease of driving. Sheila also is know for Buddy-on-Demand, an inflatable male doll that can ride in the car with you, allowing you to feel safer. Apparently he cuddles well also.

In a move that is sure to upset some, The FIA has decided not to include this classic stage from the World Rally Championships. This is only the third time this has happened since the stage began in 1949.

That is not all. starting in following years, Monte Carlo will only be ran in alternating years, as will the rest of the stages. The move comes in an effort to ensure that all rally candidates will receive an fair chance to be put on the calender.
