The guys starts out by flying all around the lanes. But then seems to chill out and just take things at a steady pace. Well, I guess until he got bored and opted to change two lanes and promptly rear-end a van. But whatever.

This is not the Batmobile. This is the Spada Vetture Sport. Which is some mean looking Italian super car. Well, that is, until you look at the ass end of it. It appears as though they’ve melded a CRX hatch to, well, the Batmobile. Anyways, I bet the car is spectacular, rumor has it, it his 60mph in 3.4 seconds. But seriously, people, put a real car in product videos. No one wants to see CGI crap.

This is pretty sweet. It’s like Grumpy Old men go rally racing. Rally legends (ok, true, this is the first I’ve heard of them) and former Mini rally racers, Rauno Aaltonen and Paddy Hopkirk, take a Mini Cooper JCW Cabrio throy the twisting streets of Monte Carlo.

I hate almost everything about this commercial. But what I really hate about recent car commercials is the use of CGI. If I’m looking to spend $40k+ on a car, I want to see the CAR. Not a graphical reconstruction of the car. Not a graphic reconstruction of the car driving over a glass-like planet. Not a graphic reconstruction of the car driving over a glass-like planet, all the while set to the sound of some shitty techno remix of an equally shitty 80’s song.

Here’s an Alfa Romeo commercial that is running somewhere other than the U.S. The car uses it’s headlights to shoot laser beams at oil and gas related things. So what’s it mean? Well the car gets good gas mileage, at least that’s what you are left to infer.
